Welcome to Peabody!
We're thrilled that you've chosen to continue your education at Peabody College. As you make plans to join us in Nashville, pay close attention to this webpage, your VU email, the enrolled student Brightspace group, and our enrolled student checklist for all of the information you need during your transition to Peabody.
What to Expect Next
Shortly after accepting your offer of admission, and submitting your $250 enrollment deposit, you'll begin to receive communication from peabody.enrolled@vanderbilt.edu. Be sure to keep an eye out for these emails! Now that you've committed to Peabody, you'll want to read each email that you receive from this address to be sure you're on top of all items and ready for the coming academic year.
We also encourage you to reach out to this address with any questions you may have - it's monitored by the Peabody Transition Team - a team of Peabody staff here to support you as you transition to a Peabody professional student!
The next few items will get you started with some of the most important transition steps. Then, you should consult the enrolled student checklist and enrolled student Brightspace group to make sure you stay on track throughout the spring and summer. Don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions! You'll hear from us often throughout the summer via email.
Getting Started
Vanderbilt IT Access
After submitting your enrollment deposit, within about 10 business days, you'll receive an access email from VUIT that shares your VUNetID information, and allows you to claim your VU email address and setup a password.
This email will be sent to the email address that you applied to Peabody with - be sure to keep an eye out for it!
It's important to note that graduate and professional students are given a Microsoft Office 365 email account, not a VU student gmail account. You should attemp to login through this link, once you've claimed your ID and setup a password.
Final Official Transcripts
All entering graduate and professional students at Vanderbilt University must submit final, official transcripts for prior degrees earned in order to register for classes for their first semester.
Materials must be mailed to:
URO - Records
Vanderbilt University
PMB 407833
2301 Vanderbilt Place
Nashville, TN 37240-7833
Official electronic copies of your transcript may be sent by your institution to the following address: prior-degree-review@vanderbilt.edu
Email Communication
In May, we'll begin to email your @vanderbilt.edu email account. Be sure to check it regularly. Remember - this is an Office 365 account, not VU Student Gmail account. This can get confusing. Follow this link to login to your VU email account.
Course Registration
Course registration information will come directly from your Program Director. For programs that begin in the fall semester, you should receive this in June. Summer start programs should hear from their Program Directors in April or May regarding course registration. If you have questions, you should contact your Program Director first, then reach out to peabody.enrolled@vanderbilt.edu.

Connect with fellow admitted students, ask questions of current student moderators, maybe even find a future roommate! The link to join is shared in your What’s Next email, or let us know if you need it!
Welcome Wednesday Webinars and Enrolled Professional Student Brightspace
Throughout the summer, we want to share as much information and as many resources as possible so you feel well-equipped to begin your program at Peabody. To that end, beginning Monday, April 21, you'll receive a bi-weekly email that outlines a new information topic. This email will align with new content available on the Enrolled Professional Student Brightspace Group, and will coordinate with a webinar that will take place the Wednesday immediately following. Topics range from our enrollment checklist to housing, registering for courses, and more. The first webinar of the summer will take place on Wednesday, April 23!
We invite you to register for one, three, or all of the events. Descriptions, dates, and registration links are available below. Each registration link will direct you to first login to your Peabody application portal before registering. All webinars will take place at 10 a.m. on Zoom in Central Standard Time. Each webinar will be recorded and linked in the Brightspace group following the event for your review.
