Cody L. Christensen is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Leadership, Policy, and Organizations at Vanderbilt University. His research interests include higher education finance, college access and completion, federal financial aid programs, and student loan repayment policies. His writing has appeared in RealClearEducation, Education Week, Washington Examiner, National Review, and other outlets.
Prior to graduate school, Cody worked as a research associate at the American Enterprise Institute’s Center on Higher Education Reform. In this role, he researched federal student loan policies, intergenerational mobility of college students, and educational responses to COVID-19. Prior to AEI, he interned at the Brookings Institution and the White House.
Cody received his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Kansas and is a native of Topeka, Kansas.
