Coral Flanagan

Doctoral Student, Department of Leadership, Policy, and Organizations

Coral Flanagan is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Leadership, Policy, and Organizations at Vanderbilt University. Her research interests include community colleges, high school to college transitions, and academic supports for academically underprepared college students. Prior to coming to Vanderbilt, she worked in the Office of College Readiness at the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE), where she managed a pre-college remediation program for high school seniors. As part of this role, Coral coordinated research partnerships between the department and external researchers and managed evaluations of several state-level college access programs. Coral also previously taught English to high school language learners in Providence, Rhode Island. She has a master's degree in Urban Education Policy from Brown University and a BA in English from Penn State. She is a native of State College, Pennsylvania.
