Jenny Abrams

Jenny’s responsibilities scheduling, production coordination, list acquisition and maintenance, and newsletter production, and coordinating and planning special programs and events.

With a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Indiana University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Chicago, Jenny was formerly career a medical social worker. She obtained the highest licensure in social work (LCSW) and spent 16 years in that career, 10 in the role of an outpatient oncology social worker at the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, Loyola University Medical Center. During those 16 years, she was employed at two different medical systems in the Chicagoland area. In addition to providing clinical social work services, she also coordinated community education and outreach activities and events for the healthcare systems.

After leaving social work, Jenny started a professional organizing business and received a certificate in residential organizing from the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals. She owned and operated this business for 6 years, full time, until she joined Vanderbilt University in August 2022. In residential organizing, she specializes in organizing pantries, closets, and playrooms. In the spring of 2020, she self-published a book on Amazon, Get Organized: The Busy Mom’s Guide to Organizing Your Household.

Jenny has always enjoyed project management, marketing, outreach, and communications, so she decided to channel these into a new career at Vanderbilt.
