Peabody was an immensely supportive community of learners, from peers to professors, as a learner I was constantly encouraged to explore any curiosity to the fullest extent. My experience in the L&D program redefined how I view learning, opening my eyes and mind to the expansive nature of learning. L&D broadened my understanding of the role educators have within the context of the classroom, as well as endless informal learning contexts. The importance of community, whether a community of learners or the vibrancy of local communities, is a notion that is at the forefront of my mind when navigating school environments, especially in the context of international teaching through the Fulbright Program.
